STIEBEL ELTRON - Company Overview
Dr. Theodore Stiebel first founded the STIEBEL ELTRON company in 1924 in Berlin, Germany with the intention of focusing on manufacturing electrically based hot water heaters for the German marketplace. His success motivated him to branch out into other appliances. Stiebel created the first Stiebel electric tankless water heater in 1927. Then in 1949, he created the first hydraulic instantaneous water heater.
Although the STIEBEL brand is still best known for its water heaters, they've also become famous for newer energy efficient technologies and appliances. In fact, the STIEBEL ELTRON brand has become internationally recognized for its environmentalism and system engineering. Although energy efficiency has always been important, the experts at STIEBEL have also lifted the standards in comfort, quality, and safety.
In recent years Stiebel has become increasingly well known for its work with highly efficient electric tankless water heaters and solar water heaters.
