Rheem first began operations in 1927 as a packaging supplier to the petroleum industry. As the company began to grow, they switched their focus to tankless water heater units and furnaces and eventually acquired the Ruud Manufacturing Company, a well-known manufacturer of quality products and heating appliances as well as commercial tankless water heater units.
Rheem Manufacturing Company, the largest manufacturer of water heater units in the U.S. and a leader in the HVAC industry, has been part of the Paloma Group since 1988. Rheem sells a highly regarded product line of tankless water heater units, swimming pool heaters and commercial boilers, central warm-air furnaces and air conditioners in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

All manufacturing facilities are ISO9000 or 14001 certified. Group annual revenue is approximately US $2 billion, with 10,000 people working for the Group around the world.
